**ABOUT OUR CLIENT**

Our client is a pioneer in communications equipment manufacturing located in the south eastern suburbs of Melbourne. Due to growth within the business, they require a capable Head of Supply Chain & Logistics.

**ABOUT THE ROLE**

As Head of Supply Chain & Logistics, you will manage everything from procurement and production, as well as the supply chain function of the company. You will be tasked with developing and maturing the role and the division, where you will need to establish best practice, commercial acumen, strategy and reporting capability.

**KEY RESPONSIBILTIES**
- Develop and implement production, supply chain & procurement strategies that align with the company's overall objectives;
- Ensure that production schedules are met and that products are delivered on time and within budget;
- Minimize risk of part shortages, monitor and reduce production costs, manage production schedules and maintain quality standards for production;
- Continually audit suppliers quality and delivery to agreed service levels;
- Assess and approve suppliers and negotiate contracts;
- Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers and vendors to ensure that the company is receiving high-quality goods and services at competitive prices;
- Develop and implement policies and procedures that promote efficiency and compliance with regulatory requirements.

**SKILLS & EXPERTISE**
- Possess a Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, or a related field;
- Have at least 10 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or production management, with at least 4 years in a leadership role;
- Be highly organised and are skilled at creating structure in situations that are uncertain or ambiguous within a growing business;
- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing strategies that have resulted in measurable improvements in efficiency and cost savings;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to drive decision-making;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders;
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage, with a track record of mentoring and developing staff;
- Experience in the Electronics industry or a similar industry would be highly regarded;
- Intermediate Excel skills with the capability to build out reporting.
