We:

- Have a friendly and cohesive team who adhere to agile principles to deliver the best product we can.
- Care deeply about our culture, and are committed towards growing an engaging and collaborative work environment.
- Are developing an innovative global platform that is disrupting and revolutionising a sector crying out for change, with a focus on volunteer management.
- Have one core web app product and offer multiple value-add products for premium customers.

- Conducting user testing, documenting findings & iterating designs based on feedback.
- Creating hi-fi UI designs ready for implementation.
- Champion and iterate BC’s design practices. This includes:

- Ensuring a user-centred design approach is taken across the end-to-end design process.
- Helping the wider organisation to understand Design best practices (e.g. design systems, mobile responsiveness, accessibility).
- Driving the maintenance and evolution of our design system, notably design patterns and branding.
- Collaborate with the Product team. This includes working with our:

- Product Manager to understand the product vision and priorities.
- Product Analyst to conduct requirements gathering to form a solid understand of our users’ needs, pain points and areas of opportunity.
- Technical team members (Tech Lead, Software Engineers, Architect, QA) to ensure your designs are feasible and well-understood, and conduct UI shoulder-checks as implementation is underway.
- Stakeholder Development team (who represent our Sales and Support functions) to tap into their user insights from their daily customer interactions.

The following experience will be essential:

- Expertise in standard UX/UI software. We currently use Sketch, InVision and Zeplin. Basic HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript skills are a plus.
- Experience in establishing or working within a design system to ensure consistency and continual improvement across our products.
- Ability to work with stakeholders (real users, internal team members) to understand detailed requirements and design complete user experiences that meet user needs and product vision.
- Experience in using UX design best practices, including user research, user journey mapping, wireframing/prototyping, usability testing, pattern libraries, accessibility, mobile-first and responsive design.
- Ability to work effectively in an agile setting and be excited about collaborating and communicating closely with the team.
