**About the role**:
The Hub Manager will conduct end-to-end oversight for the scope of Forensic services provided at the Regional Hub, ensuring a standardised approach to managing casework and a customer interface with a strong client focus.
The Regional Hub consists of a multi-disciplinary team that will deliver forensic evidence recovery services with scope to expand into an analysis, interpretation and reporting services.

**As the successful applicant, some of your duties will include**:

- Manage and coordinate the daily operations of the Regional Hub with the objective of achieving client needs and expectations through co-ordination and oversight of responsive, timely, and high-quality forensic science services.
- Model high level leadership attributes in the workplace through coaching, guidance and performance feedback for Regional Hub personnel.
- Develop and monitor casework performance targets for the Regional Hub, focusing on prioritisation of casework and activities that assist meeting customer requirements.
- Ensure delivery of the forensic science service aligns to the CMG standards and procedures. Maintain appropriate knowledge of Victoria Police and Forensic Services Department policies, procedures and related legislation.
- Maintain partnerships with relevant VPFSD Group managers and scientific specialists to ensure delivery of forensic science service is standardised against VPFSD best practice.
- Utilise ‘LEAN' tools and behaviours to drive change management initiatives and business improvement practices to maximise efficiency and productivity of the Regional Hub.
- Through strong stakeholder engagement and in collaboration with the CMG manager, understand and respond to new and emerging issues to ensure resources are aligned to customer expectations.
- Professionally manage sensitive information where high levels of negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills are required.
- Identify relevant research and development projects to the CMG Manager in order to improve and enhance Regional Hub methodology.
- Present authoritative expert opinion and evidence relating to Regional Hub operations in Courts of Law in an impartial and concise manner. Provide definitive and authoritative casework advice in line with established authorisations.

Skills & Experience
- Demonstrated ability to lead, develop and motivate a multi-function team to provide a quality and timely forensic science service.
- Strong commitment and knowledge of business reporting requirements and Departmental planning processes
- Proven ability to manage casework tasks and oversee processes according to the Departmental business model to meet performance targets in line with customer expectations.
- Proven ability to deliver scientific best practice, including maintaining accreditation, training and quality requirements
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills and ability to foster professional relationships and impart specialist knowledge to courts, investigators, colleagues and other agencies.
- Demonstrated commitment to business improvement supporting research, training, development and innovation projects with a focus on developing forensic capability, process efficiency and process integration.
- Proven ability to monitor client and stakeholder satisfaction, and constructively manage stakeholder issues to ensure positive outcomes for the stakeholder and the Region/Department/Command.
- A proven record of ethical behaviour and a demonstrated commitment to the Victoria Police Code of Ethics and Conduct and the Organisational Values.

**Requirements and relevant information**:

- A relevant tertiary qualification is highly desirable.
- Position is located at 1A MIRELLE DRIVE WINTER VALLEY

- The incumbent must possess a Victorian Drivers Licence and the ability to obtain a Victoria Police Approved Drivers Authority.
