Astroluxe is seeking a reliable and friendly Front of House Staff member to join our team. As a Front of House Staff member, you will be the face of our cafe, providing excellent customer service to ensure an enjoyable dining experience for our patrons.

**Responsibilities**:

- **Customer Service**: Greet customers warmly as they enter the cafe, provide menus, and assist with seating arrangements. Take orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring special requests or dietary restrictions are communicated to the kitchen staff.
- **Order Management**: Enter orders into the POS system promptly and accurately. Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of food and beverages. Monitor tables and promptly address any issues or requests from customers.
- **Menu Knowledge**: Have a thorough understanding of the menu items, including ingredients, preparation methods, and any specials or promotions. Be able to make recommendations and answer questions about menu items, including allergen information.
- **Maintaining Cleanliness**: Keep the front of house area clean and organized at all times, including wiping down tables, sanitizing surfaces, and ensuring condiments and utensils are well-stocked. Assist with clearing tables and dishwashing as needed.
- **Cash Handling**: Handle cash and card transactions accurately, processing payments and providing change when necessary. Reconcile cash drawers at the end of each shift and report any discrepancies to management.
- **Teamwork**: Collaborate with other FOH and kitchen staff to provide efficient and friendly service. Communicate effectively with colleagues and management to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Food handling certification (or willingness to obtain certification upon hiring).

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: $22.71 - $23.25 per hour

Expected hours: 3 per week
