Maggie's is on the hunt for an experienced gun Restaurant Supervisor.

About the role:
As the Restaurant Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the day-to-day operations and contributing to the business's growth. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will lead a team of dedicated individuals, ensuring high service standards and fostering a positive work environment. The Restaurant Supervisor is responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere and experience for all guests, maintaining high standards of service and cleanliness. The Restaurant Supervisor will be supported by the Managing Director and senior leadership team.

Key responsibilities:
In this role you will:

- Lead the day-to-day operations of FOH including acting as host during service times
- Supervision of FOH staff, including assisting the Managing Director to provide guidance and training to new recruits
- Create and manage efficient rosters, including adhering to labour budgets
- Efficiently control stock levels and implement regular stocktakes for all FOH items
- Ensure cleaning practices are upheld to a high standard and the venue is always presented in its best possible light
- Undertake reasonable duties as directed, commensurate with classification level
- Check in with customers to assess their enjoyment and quality of service
- Work with the Food and Beverage teams to holistically execute both strategy and venue events and general day to day service standards
- Maintain workplace policies, procedures, guidelines and ensure OH&S requirements are upheld
- Liaise with HR with regards to staff performances
- Create a supportive and safe work environment, one that fosters positive culture within the team

About Maggie’s:
Maggie’s Snacks and Liquor is the newest neighbourhood bar + eatery to hit Brunswick East’s Lygon Street. Due to open early November 2023, Maggie’s offers a playful, approachable menu that highlights seasonal, local produce. Maggie’s beverage program centres on a seasonal cocktail offering that prioritises local ingredients. This is backed up by a wine + beer list of local suppliers, with a few international guests.

Applicants must have/be:

- At least 2+ years experience in a similar role
- Passionate about food, beverage + cocktails; you're always on the hunt for new bars
- Passionate about service + customer experience; you have a genuine curiosity for people, you are warm + welcoming
- Positive, always hungry for more knowledge
- Empathic towards understanding colleagues + customers, a supportive team player
- Strong verbal communication skills (strong english speaking a must)
- Someone who thrives with fast paced floor service
- Hold a current RSA + be at least 18 years of age
- Have the right to work in Australia
- Experience essential but training will be provided
- Must be available to work nights, weekends + public holidays
