**What is your new role about?**

This role will be responsible for leading the design, implementation, and management of Horizon Power’s compliance operating model. This position will influence and drive compliance matters across the business through collaboration, provision of advice, and support in accordance with the framework.

**Your new role will include**:

- Designing and implementing the Horizon Power compliance operating model which is a “Hub and Spoke Model”.
- Collaborating with other corporate framework owners to integrate the Compliance Management Framework into relevant corporate business frameworks.
- Developing, maintaining and managing the execution of the annual compliance and assurance program.
- Co-ordinating regulatory compliance reporting across Horizon Power to ensure Horizon Power’s reporting obligations are met.
- Co-ordinating business-wide compliance management reporting for management, the Board and its sub-committees.
- Providing general compliance training.
- Managing the engagement and liaison activities with regulators and authorities.
- Managing the Horizon Power Governance, Risk and Compliance system ensuring that the system is fit-for-purpose and aligned to the Compliance Management Framework.
- Supporting the broader Legal and Risk Team in carrying some of the activities within crisis management, enterprise risk management, governance advice and internal audit coordination/reporting.

**Our new Compliance Specialist will have**:

- Tertiary qualification in either Law, Economics or Commerce/Business is mandatory.
- Strong working knowledge of compliance, risk, governance, and/or assurance methodology
- Thorough understanding of Governance, Risk and Controls (GRC) related ISO standards, including 37301:2021 Compliance Management Systems.
- Advanced knowledge and understanding of the way in which a compliance framework operates within a business.
- Significant relevant commercial and professional experience specialising in legal, compliance, risk or assurance work.
- Experience in a demanding professional role within a complex organisation such as a professional services (legal or accounting) firm or a large corporation.
- Ability to work collaboratively with the Executive Team and senior management (Level 3 managers) in developing and implementing a fit for purpose compliance framework.
