**About the Role**

We are seeking a strong leader to join the Corporate Solutions business as it continues a strong growth trajectory. Together with the CEO of ANZ, you will help operationalise the business strategy, managing key partners and delivering a robust and compliant operation.

You will form part of the ANZ Leadership team, as well as the APAC Regional Operations Management Team, and will assist in the steering of as well as implementation of local, regional and global initiatives.

Your key responsibilities will include, however, are not limited to:

- Ownership and delivery of seamless, effective and efficient business support including Technical Accounting, Claims Operations, Business Services and relationship management and oversight of off shored and outsourced services;
- ANZ Leadership responsibilities as well as reporting out on specific topics owned by operations;
- MGA Management, delivering strong governance across our MGAs and Facilities;
- Lead and develop a high performing team;
- Delivering specified KPI's and demonstrating adherence to internal and external regulations;
- Ensuring sustainable operations through strategic workforce management, embedding a strong operational risk framework and legal & regulatory compliance in all operating processes; and
- Delivering and coordinating office & facility management, such as departmental planning, steering and monitoring budget & expense reporting, knowledge and record management and responsibility for Business Continuity Management (BCM) plans.

**About the Team**

The team consists of Assistant Underwriters, Underwriting Analysts, Operations Analysts and Associates who are based in Sydney, Melbourne and Kuala Lumpur. Their roles are responsible for local business underwriting support as well as administration and operational tasks.

This position is based in Sydney, but as part of a distributed team you will also collaborate on a regular basis with colleagues across Asia and the world.

**About You**
- Strong eye for business and ability to partner with CEO in steering the business;
- Previous experience in COO, Business Management or Head of Operations type roles;
- Ability and confidence to interact at senior management level and work with multiple partners;
- Demonstrated strength in risk-based governance and compliance;
- Good understanding of business operations, systems and processes and the associated roles;
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and stakeholders simultaneously;
- University Degree with demonstrated ability in an operational/process orientated role (alternatively, working experience in the equivalent business functions within the insurance industry);
- Solid understanding of the Insurance sector, including local regulations, taxes and statutory controls;
- Proven leadership capabilities across matrix organisation and can demonstrate the highest level of integrity and credibility;
- Strong analytical & conceptual skills with ability to translate ideas and strategy into practical solutions;
- Process & business engineering expertise;
- You can inspire those around you by being a strong coach, motivator and mentor and are passionate about the career path and success of the team; and
- You enjoy team collaboration and contributing to the broader team on local and global business initiatives.

General Insurance experience (e.g. Operations, Underwriting, Claims, Technical Accounting) would be highly regarded
