IT Procurement Specialist

Help develop, implement and manage IT procurement policies.

**The Opportunity**:
This business has absolutely taken off and is now investing heavily in its procurement function to ensure it's scalable and prepared for continued growth. With a busy period ahead for the procurement function and many contracts up for tendering and negotiating, they're looking to secure an immediately available Procurement Specialist to join the team on a contract basis until June 2024.

**The Role**:
Reporting to the Procurement Director, you will work to develop, implement and manage up-to-date procurement tools, policies and procedures for the business. Among other things, your duties will include:
Developing and updating procurement structures, policies and procedures;
Maintaining supplier relationships and ensuring suppliers align with the company's global procurement principles and compliance requirements;
Manage and oversee the procurement systems, including procedures around purchase orders and receipting;
Manage the risk and controls framework for the procurement function;
Partner with IT project management teams to provide timely advice on procurement activities; and

Establish SLAs with new suppliers and oversee the review of existing SLA's.

**Your Background**:
Minimum of four years experience working in a procurement function, ideally within the IT category;
Experience in a financial services or professional services organisation is preferred;
Strong understanding of procurement practices, including risk management and best practices;
Strong communications and stakeholder management skills - capable of dealing with senior management; and

Strong negotiation skills and comfortable working with suppliers to establish favourable terms.
