**Your Opportunity**

This role will monitor information systems for security incidents and vulnerabilities; develop monitoring and visibility capabilities; report on incidents, vulnerabilities, and trends.

**Your key responsibilities will be**:

- Support the Head of IT Security & GRC in the creation and enhancement of cyber security policies, standards, guidelines
- Identify security measures to improve incident response
- Respond to security incidents
- Ensure the ongoing maintenance of the Cybersecurity Program
- Implement assurance controls across technology services to ensure they meet MA’s security requirements
- Perform security assessments and audits
- Develop technical solutions to security vulnerabilities
- Research new attack vectors and developing threat models
- Automate security improvements

**Requirements for Success**
- 5-10 years experience in IT security
- Excellent knowledge of Networking Protocols (TCP/IP, SNMP, DNS, DHCP, ISCSI).
- Strong knowledge of Cyber Security Infrastructure technologies and best practices.
- Deep knowledge of intrusion detection, firewalls, data loss prevention, data encryption, and vulnerability management concepts.
- Solid understanding of security protocols, cryptography, authentication, authorisation, and access controls.
- Excellent working knowledge of current IT risks, threats and trends, and experience implementing security solutions.
- Experience working with external security specialists and managed service providers, for example, a Security Operations Centre and/or SIEM partner, managing service provision in accordance with service level agreements.
- Experience in cloud-deployed technologies and associated security design.
- Applied working knowledge of core infrastructure technologies, such as (but not limited to) Active Directory, Windows Workstation and Server, networking, Linux, operational tooling, cloud services, etc.
