**The Project**

UGL and CPB Contractors have been awarded the early works contract to support Powerlink’s delivery of CopperString 2032. This $5 billion iconic project will initially be approximately 840 kilometres of new transmission line running from just south of Townsville to Mount Isa that will connect Queensland’s North West Minerals Province to the national electricity grid. The project scope includes:

- 500 kilovolt (kV) transmission line from just south of Townsville to Hughenden
- 330kV transmission line from Hughenden to Cloncurry
- 220kV transmission line from Cloncurry to Mount Isa
- Up to six new substation sites.

This exciting project will commence construction in 2024 and we are currently looking for an experienced Senior P&C Business Partner to join the team. The role will initially be based in Brisbane and transition to a site based role on 10/4 roster.

**What will a day in this role look like**:
This position provides comprehensive P&C advice and supports the end-to-end HR deliverables for the Project. The P&C Business Partner delivers effective, high quality and accurate P&C/ER/IR advice to functional people managers and employees throughout the Project, ensuring the maintenance of effective working relationships.

**Key responsibilities**:
Deliver high-quality P&C expertise to support end-to-end People and Culture activities across the Project, including:

- Contribute to, and as directed, lead the development of strategies and plans related to P&C/ER/IR matters.
- Lead and support for the broader Project P&C Team to assist the project including; Recruitment, Mobilisation & Onboarding; P&C admin; IR; Remuneration & Benefits; Workforce Logistics & Accommodation; Workforce Development & Training; Redundancy and Demobilisation.
- Assists in the development and implementation of HR/IR/ER communication systems to support timely and accurate advice to supervisors, managers on an industrial construction project site.
- Lead and support the mobilization & demobilisation process and ensure HR deliverables are met.
- As necessary, aid in performance management, counselling and disciplinary matters.
- As required, support the talent & succession planning process on the project.

**What are we looking for you to bring to the team**:

- You will have extensive P&C Advisory experience, preferably working on major construction FIFO projects.
- Experience working within a dispersed, remote team.
- Tertiary qualifications in HR / IR or a related discipline
- Results/goal driven work experience and focus
- Experience managing key internal and external stakeholders, including being a key interface with the client
- Proactively seek to continuously improve performance, deliverables, and work efficiencies.
