**Our Family**:

- We are a busy working family with 2 children, 1 in High School and 1 in Primary School. Our son is autistic, classed as level 2 and has ADHD. He is highly intelligent but struggles at school. He is kind, loving and loves to talk and talk and talk. He has an extensive vocabulary and is kind and affectionate 1on1, but struggles with reading and school work. He is a negotiator with a strong personality and so loves to try and get you to agree to do his desires, such as going outside to play, even if its pouring rain. Our son loves to test his jokes out on you loves to engage with people, especially if he has your undivided attention. Our daughter in in Yr 7 and very independent, loves to read, plays the trumpet and piano and loves all things historical. From Roman history and mythology to Medievil England and Scotland to Vikings and Norse mythology. She is intelligent and can almost always be found with a book in hand, drawing or watching movies. She has ADHD which means she can be off with the fairies and will often need reminding to complete tasks, such as homework/school work, but she is kind, loving and a loyal friend and sister to her brother. My wife and I both have busy careers that require some additional support, specifically for our son a couple of afternoons a week. We both work from home on alternating days to allow us to be home if needs but for our son, but we are also needing to continue to work when our kids get home from school. We have 2 pets in our family. A mainecoon cat and an alaskan malamute dog. So we need someone who isn't allergic to pets.

**Your Duties**:

- Pick up from school 2 days a week. Through the schools kiss and drop area. If you have your own car, this is preferable, however if we are home and you need our car, we can work with you on this. Playing with our son, such as listed above - going for walks, playing lego, engaging in activities that will allow him to play, learn and develop. Minimal school work/homework - this will require you to sit with our son to do school work. We have a routine and will show you how we work through this. Being at the house when our daughter arrives home from school and checking that she completes any homework etc that needs to be done.

**Our Perfect Caregiver**:

- We are after someone who can be with our son a couple of afternoons a week to allow us to continue to work when he comes home from school. At present, we are looking for 2 days a week to start, being either Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday, and happy to work around 2 of these 3 days as to what will be best. This may move to 3 days later pending on how things go and our needs. We are looking for someone who is fun, outgoing, energetic, as you will need to be and who can work with our son to go on "adventures", which for him can be as simple as walks to the park, playing lego, talking all things minecraft or sometimes going to the shops just to look at toys. We would love someone who can plan to be with him for the rest of 2024 as when he connects with someone, he does want to spend time with them. We would also love someone who can do the basics of school work that he doesn't get done at school with him. He is in Yr1, and so the level of school work will not be extensive of complex and will mainly focus on his reading, writing and maths. With the above school work, it is expected to be mínimal given his ASD and ADHD make it sometimes challenging, but someone who can do this with him and also understands the challenges for someone with ASD/ADHD would be ideal.
