**Job Description**:
The Role

AECOM is expanding its dynamic and innovative transport planning team in Sydney and are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Transport Planner at the Principal level. In joining our market leading team you will significantly contribute to the development of the largest projects in Australia and provide our range of clients with innovative and market leading solutions.

About You

As a Transport Planner with AECOM your day to day work will involve:
+ Leading a team of experienced and emerging professionals with responsibilities for People Management, Project Management and Business Development

+ You will partner with and provide high quality technical advice to clients on transportation matters and identify innovative solutions to solve real world challenges.

+ You will be responsible for project delivery to program, budget and quality expectations.

+ You will maintain strong working relationships across industry and be identified as a specialist in your technical discipline(s)

+ You will establish and maintain internal relationships as a specialist in your field

**Ideally you will have**:
+ A degree in Transport Planning, Geography, Planning or Civil Engineering

+ Demonstrable experience of running and building successful teams

+ Good all-round technical knowledge of strategic transportation planning

+ Understanding of and experience of working in Transport Strategy and Planning frameworks, and knowledge of planning and transport policy

+ A proven record of delivering projects within the transport sector in Australia

+ A demonstrated ability to secure work and develop business with clients in Australia.

+ A highly motivated individual with excellent communication skills.

**Qualifications**:
+ A degree in Transport Planning, Geography, Planning or Civil Engineering
