About the role
We are seeking to appoint an Associate to support Judge Ginnane at the County Court of Victoria in the Common Law Division, for a fixed term of 12 months.
As his Honour's associate, you will provide high level operational, administrative and technical legal support to Judge Ginnane both in chambers and in court, and will work closely with another associate. The work of the team sits within a complex, demanding and sensitive environment. Your role will involve case file management, a strong emphasis on communication at all levels and may include legal research and writing.
About you
Ideally you will have demonstrated legal ability, a particular interest in Common Law, a high level of attention to detail, excellent organisational, interpersonal, written and oral communication skills, the ability to exercise sound judgment and balance competing demands on your time and work well under pressure.
The County Court regularly conducts circuit sittings in multiple regional cities throughout Victoria. His Honour and his staff usually undertake two such circuits of several weeks' duration each year.
