**Head of Risk, Credit Risk**

This senior role is accountable to lead the end-to-end Credit Risk strategy, execution and effectiveness across the ORGANISATION Group. This includes formulation of the Credit Risk strategy and development and management of Credit risk policies, frameworks and controls to deliver ORGANISATION and Financial Risk Management (FRM) outcomes.

The role will proactively identify and respond to changes in both internal organizational procedures and external regulatory requirements and identify opportunities for continuous improvement of Credit Risk across ORGANISATION globally, with specific emphasis on GCS, Reinsurance, Group Investments and Treasury and accountable to drive an appropriate risk management culture in senior Line 1 stakeholders.

**Strategy and Planning**
- Leads the development and implementation of the Credit risk strategy and relevant policies, frameworks and controls, with appropriate engagement, influence, and change management across FRM and Line 1 stakeholders.
- Sets direction and organises self and others to identify, implement and assess, risk management initiatives that impact on the longer-term effectiveness of Global Credit risk mitigation and risk management effectiveness.
- Proactively collaborates across the Risk Function & Business to pre-empt and lead the ownership of appropriate responses to Credit risk situations and exposures.
- Manages the Credit portfolio exposures and identifies concentrations of Credit Risk.

**Experience**:

- Knowledge of financial markets and products and current market environment at a global level.
- Thorough knowledge of industry best practice in Credit Risk Management
- Advanced working knowledge of credit risk best practices and procedures
- Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, and system tools
- 10+ years relevant experience
- Accountability for strategic planning and decisions in Credit risk management
