As the
**Claims Assessor**, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional service and effective claims management. You will be overseeing a portfolio of individuals confronting serious injuries and illnesses, you'll tailor your assistance to cater to their distinct requirements.

**Main responsibilities include**:

- Managing a portfolio of life insurance claims
- Provide high-level case management for effective claims strategies and achieve positive outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with Life Insurance Code of Practice (LICOP) and internal SLAs.
- Collaborate with team members and stakeholders: advisers, policyholders, medical professionals.
- Identifying opportunities for process improvement and implementing changes to enhance claims management procedures.
- Uphold confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive information.
- Keep up-to-date with industry developments, regulations, and best practices in claims management.
- Tertiary qualifications and/or a background in Allied Health (desirable).
- Prior experience in managing insurance cases, including General, CTP, and Worker’s Compensation (desirable).
- Familiarity with how Life Insurance and Workers Compensation work.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport and manage expectations.
- Passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
- Thrives in collaborative team environments and embraces improvement.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
