**The Role**
Our Integrated Buildings Division requires a motivated and passionate Electrical Drafter to join the team in Newcastle.

In this role you will provide high quality technical drafting & modelling designs to building services projects using AutoCad, Revit and BIM360. You will be assisting the electrical teams in Newcastle, Sydney and Canberra in delivering project documentation and drafting technical standards to a high level.

This position also includes helping undertake CAD/BIM development of systems and/or tools, especially Revit families and associated BIM processes.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Liaise with engineers, project teams, and clients (where applicable)** **to deliver project documentation.
- Produce electrical modelling & drafting tasks under minimum supervision and to a high standard.
- Sketches and engineering mark-ups are to be completed in accordance with the national drafting standards, procedures, and supervisors’ instructions with any drawing errors reported.
- Manage drafting components of projects from inception through to completion, including consulting, recommending, and advising on drafting areas and checking design work for drafting technical accuracy and adequacy.
- At a project level, provide coordination, support and partial review to team members in the completion of work, including providing appropriate feedback.
- Provide adequate and appropriate training and support for junior staff.

**What we’re looking for?**
We are looking for someone who can leverage their experience with AutoCAD, Revit and BIM software to help guide our design work. Working with our Electrical team and linking in with our wider MEP BIM and Engineering teams, we want someone who is forward thinking and can deliver a wide range of projects across many sectors.

**In order to be successful in this role, you will also need to possess**:

- Demonstrated experience at a local level as an Electrical drafter within a consultancy environment.
- Advanced Diploma, Diploma or Certificate in an engineering-related discipline is desirable and/or relevant industry experience.
- Demonstrated experience within Building Services is essential.
- The ability to manage multiple projects and goals at the same time, whilst working autonomously.
- Demonstrated experience with Revit, Revit families, templates and plug-ins.
- Working experience of BIM documentation, processes and workflows.
- Excellent communication skills - able to speak and write clearly, concisely, and compellingly in managing external consultants.
- Creative problem-solving skills to continually finds ways to overcome challenges and obstacles.
- Strong team ethic to work collaboratively across functional groups
