**About the role**

CBUS has an exciting opportunity for an Insurance Specialist for underwriting to join our Insurance Operations team on an initial 6 month basis. This is an important role within the Insurance Operations team responsible for the management of complex and escalated underwriting enquiries and assisting in insurance data reviews as part of insurance quality assurance and insurance incident management process.

You will be responsible for the management of The Underwriting Mailbox and providing assistance to all Cbus member facing teams for underwriting queries and reviews. You will review and respond to complex and escalated matters relevant to underwriting, including issues relating to commencement and allocation of cover, including liaising with the Administrator and Insurer to manage any issues relating to this.

**About you**
- You will have gained exposure within a superannuation insurance function, and have a superior understanding of underwriting processes and procedures.
- You will have demonstrated attention to detail and have strong administrative and clerical skills.
- Your dedication to achieving positive outcomes for customers/ members will be key to success.
- You are comfortable with data records and have experience managing and amending multiple files with a high degree of confidentiality.
