**The Opportunity**:

- The Department of Parliamentary Services (DPS) is recruiting for a PSL4 Digital Resources Officer within the Library Collections and Discovery section of the Parliamentary Library. The Parliamentary Library provides high quality information, analysis and advice to Senators and Members of Parliament in support of their parliamentary and representational roles. The Digital Resources team is responsible for acquiring collection material in accordance with procurement rules, and for assisting clients with online news service products.
- The Digital Resources Officer will undertake routine acquisition activities related to online and serial resources, facilitate client access to news services, and assist with monitoring usage of our subscriptions.

**Job Specific Requirements**:

The successful applicant will be required to obtain and maintain a Baseline Vetting (Protected/Restricted) security clearance.

- Under limited/general direction undertake duties in accordance with the agreed standards for the PSL 4 classification. The duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:

- 1. Liaise with library clients and advise them on access and availability of digital resources.
- 2. Acquire digital and serial resources, including:

- a. create and maintain acquisition records for new and changed serial titles;
- b. receive and process renewals and invoices for serials and standing orders;
- c. update order and vendor records for serial subscriptions and standing orders;
- d. liaise with suppliers and internal staff regarding serial subscriptions, standing orders, and digital resources.
- 3. Collate and compile documentation and usage statistics for online resources.
- 4. Liaise with clients, internal staff and external agencies for the successful delivery of Library products and services.
- 5. Contribute to corporate activities as required.
- Employees of DPS are required to be able, and to be seen to be able, to provide professional advice and services to all Senators and Members without favour or prejudice._

**Salary**:

- Currently, the salary range for this position is $74,730 - $81,202 per annum.
