Production Manager

**Client**:
Our client is a luxury Australian Designer, committed to creating staple pieces that are high in quality for the romantic mínimalist women.
**The Role**:
As the Production Manager, you'll report directly to the Director and oversee all operational aspects of the business, including product development and management. You'll serve as the vital link between various departments, ensuring timely delivery of product ranges and maintaining brand sell-through.
**Key Responsibilities**:
Team Management:
- Foster effective communication and collaboration among Ecommerce, Marketing, Design, Production, and Sales teams by implementing streamlined processes.
- Provide hands-on management for day-to-day operations across design, production, sales, and marketing.
- Ensure proper record-keeping and file management within teams.
- Identify and leverage synergies within the business.
- Offer operational expertise to drive and implement strategic initiatives.
- Contribute to the implementation of the business vision and its growth.
Operations Management:
- Support and oversee Production by managing costings and critical path timelines.
- Propose solutions to streamline processes or mitigate delays, with the authority to manage relevant teams accordingly.
- Develop and manage a comprehensive company process map, ensuring each department has clear procedures and responsibilities.
- Forecast and manage contractor capacity to meet critical deadlines.
- Take charge of vendor base setup, production process management, procurement, and business margins.
- Oversee system requirements and improvements.
- Manage relationships with sales agencies for wholesale channels.
- Coordinate with customer service and fulfillment to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Efficiently manage stock, including distribution, inventory monitoring, and reordering.
- Control sampling process and costs within budget and timelines.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries.
- Build and maintain relationships with manufacturers and implement strategic sourcing strategies.
- Collaborate with pattern makers to resolve production issues.
- Monitor sell-through and returns to initiate timely recuts or product reviews.
- Ensure accurate completion of administration tasks in the system.
- Identify and address potential production, quality, and costing issues.
- Utilize data analysis to support informed decision-making.
- Drive ad-hoc projects for process improvements and cost optimization.
**Skill Requirements**:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- A kind and respectful teamplayer who is willing to learn, grow and adapt with the business is a must.
- Degree or diploma in related fields.
- Strong technical knowledge of apparel, fabrics, and garment construction.
- Experience in apparel sourcing, manufacturing, and factory management.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficient in time management and meeting deadlines.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency in computer skills, especially Excel.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive self-starter.
- Shopify/Shopify+ experience (2-4 years).
