SA Police are seeking an AS04 Technical Project Officer to join their one of their Program Delivery teams for a fixed term contract until June 2024.

SAPOL is currently seeking a Technical Project Officer to work within their Cyber Security, Program Delivery team.

You will be responsible for planning and coordinating project activities, including scheduling, budget tracking, invoice processing, reporting and document control. You will be required to manage minor projects which contribute to improved efficiency and/or effectiveness of the portfolio.

As the Technical Project Officer, you will support project managers and programme leads and be responsible for: creation of regular governance reports and agendas; arranging meetings and coordinating logistics (attendance, venue); taking minutes and maintaining accurate records of actions and decisions made at meetings; monitoring and reviewing project progress against approved milestones; work closely with the Portfolio Management Office to ensure project reporting requirements are met; ensuring project documentation is maintained in line with IS&T standards; and providing general and administrative support for activities including recruitment, staff on/off-boarding and accommodation.

**What you’ll need to succeed**
- Prior experience working on IT projects
- Thorough familiarity with word processing, spreadsheet, and project scheduling.
- Demonstrated experience in budget and financial management
- Demonstrated organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent critical and creative thinking and analytical skills
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously with limited direction, identify outcomes, prioritise workloads and achieve objectives within deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise initiative and judgement, make well informed and timely decisions and respond to changing demands and situations.
- Well-developed conceptual skills and the proven use of initiative in solving problems.
- Demonstrated high level of verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated understanding of project management concepts and principles and the collection and collation of information from a range of sources.
- Demonstrated ability in the use of a range of data software programs including Microsoft Excel.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively and collaboratively with a range of relevant stakeholders providing excellent customer and advisory services and achieving agreed objectives.

**Special Conditions**:

- The incumbent may be assigned to other duties at this remuneration level or equivalent.
- Some out-of-hours work, and intra/interstate travel may be required.
- The incumbent is required to participate in SAPOL’s iEngage program.

**Salary**:
AS04 - $75,430 to $79,070 per annum

SAPOL’s IS&T also offer a hybrid working arrangement under the direction of the line manager.
