About the role

**The purpose of this role is to**:

- Lead and manage the development, implementation and evaluation of West Moreton Health's risk and compliance frameworks, activities, and capabilities within the areas of governance, management, assurance, and skills and knowledge development.
- Provide advice to executive management on risk, compliance and other areas of corporate governance in relation to the effective management of strategic, organisational, and operational priorities.
- Foster and promote a positive risk, compliance and good governance culture in West Moreton Health.

About you
- High level understanding of the principles and practice of risk management, compliance management and fraud control within a statutory health environment.
- Capacity to lead and deliver high level advice, expertise and skill with respect to good governance, risk management and compliance management practices and processes in a large public sector health service.
- High level analytical and strategic problem-solving skills and an ability to consider reviews, data and audit evidence to coordinate and prepare organisational responses and implementation plans.
- Commitment and success in the planning, implementation, review and management of change and process redesign of varying complexity and scope within a large complex organisation.
- Highly developed and proven negotiation, consultative and interpersonal skills with a strong capacity to communicate complex issues such as relevant compliance systems and processes, audit and assurance.
- Ability to distil complex matters into succinct, clear, and articulate communications, with proven capacity to work collaboratively with and provide sound advice to Board, Executive, senior management, staff and other health professionals
- Proven project management skills including demonstrated capacity to scope and organise complex tasks, document and deliver results within identified timeframes.
- Established credibility through developing, maintaining and managing networks and alliances (internal and external) as efficient and effective mechanisms for achieving the strategic and operational goals of the organisation.

**Mandatory Requirements**:

- Vaccinated against COVID-19 as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO.12/21and the Queensland Health Human Resources Policy B70.
