**About the opportunity**:
Are you passionate about providing a nurturing and supportive environment for children? Do you have experience and expertise in working with individuals affected by substance abuse? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you as an AOD Childcare Worker at Uniting.

The Childcare Worker will provide a safe, caring, and engaging environment for children whose parent or guardian is undergoing substance abuse treatment. You will also develop and implement age-appropriate activities that promote the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of children, while maintaining a supportive and non-judgmental approach when interacting with children and their families.

**About you**:

- Certificate III in Children’s Services or equivalent
- Certificate IV in AOD or AOD skill set CHCSS00093 (or able to complete within the first 24 months of employment).
- Experience working with children, parents/carers and families.
- Ability to think holistically in relation to interventions with families and infants.
- Experience in supporting children (0-2 years) to participate in age-appropriate activities.
- Ability to contribute to and support the provision of educational groups and activities for clients undergoing withdrawal.
