Monadelphous provides rail network maintenance, as well as rail rolling stock maintenance services, to key clients across Australia.Delivering planned and preventative maintenance, as well as major closedown works, our capability includes the use of a fleet of owned and operated rail maintenance on-track and mobile plant.We are currently looking for a Junior HSE Advisor to join our local team on a permanent Monday to Friday basis out of our Rutherford yard in NSW.**Key responsibilities include**:

- Provide HSE advice and expertise to manage HSE issues and to improve HSE performance, culture and management
- Conducting and supporting HSE audits, inspections, investigations, and training/awareness
- Monitor work practices to ensure adherence to safety and environmental procedures and standards
- Ensure all HSE processes and activities; JHA’s, permits etc. comply with relevant HSE legislation and company standards
- Provide hands on support to implement HSE improvements, plans or solutions
- Maintain knowledge of contemporary HSE practices to recommend and implement effective HSE solutions
- Conduct routine and ad-hoc analysis and investigations on HSE performance data to identify performance trends and areas of concern/risk at a Project and or Site level. Propose and follow-up on recommendations for action.

**What you will bring**
- A keen, self-driving and solution orientated attitude towards your work
- Previous experience construction / maintenance industry preferred
- Certificate IV qualification in OHS/WHS
- Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment preferred
- Applied First Aid Certificate preferred
- Strong understanding and working knowledge of Australian HSE legislation and industry standards
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Confident user of MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
- A strong commitment to maintaining a safe working environment
- An innovative approach to problem solving, continuous improvement and successful delivery methods
- Strong communication skills and the ability to deliver a message effectively with confidence
- A proactive, motivated mindset and someone who thrives when working under pressure
- Valid Australian Driver’s Licence
- Proof of right to work in Australia
