**About the role**:
The Business Partner sits in the Health Funding, Finance and Investment division, and is responsible for the relationship between HFFI and another division/s. Maintaining oversight of how effectively Health Funding, Finance and Investment division branches service the rest of the Department, you will develop solutions and strategies to address needs of your division, while also providing intelligence to HFFI to meet upcoming priorities in your division and identify business improvement opportunities to uplift capability.
Familiarity with Health Funding, Finance and Investment functions broadly, and/or familiarity with these functions in supported division(s), is highly desirable. Experience in public sector finance would be highly regarded.

- Diagnosis: Strong ability to accurately diagnose root causes of business inefficiencies, gaps, duplications and risks. This will include business process, legislative obligations and human components.
- Communication: Strong critical analysis and reporting skills, high attention to detail, excellent writing skills and experience in managing stakeholder relationships. Highly developed interpersonal and negotiation skills, with an ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships, provide advice on processes and policy and work effectively with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders. The ability to express opinions, information and key points clearly and concisely via effective verbal and written communication.
- Problem solving: Seeks all relevant information for problem-solving; liaises with stakeholders; analyses issues from different perspectives and draws sound inferences from information available; identifies and proposes workable solutions to problems; implements solutions, evaluates effectiveness and adjusts actions as required.
- Systems thinking Diagnoses trends, obstacles, and opportunities in the internal and external environment; understand the linkages between natural systems and communities to inform policy; conceptualises and defines the systems working within the organisation
- Self-management: Plans and prioritises work to ensure outcomes are achieved, resists the temptation to react immediately without taking time to think things through, uses strengths to contribute constructively and consciously manages the impact of own weaknesses, anticipates own reactions to situations and prepares accordingly.

**Qualifications**:
CPA or CA or other equivalent accounting qualification and membership will also be highly regarded. Experience in public sector finance would be highly regarded.
