**The Role**

Are you a skilled and detail-oriented professional seeking an exciting opportunity in the automotive industry? Join our client, a leading distributor of heavy diesel equipment and trucks, as a Parts Interpreter based in Newcastle, NSW. As part of the team, your primary role will involve interpreting customer inquiries and identifying the required parts for heavy diesel equipment and trucks. Working closely with customers and suppliers, you will provide accurate quotations, source parts efficiently, and ensure exceptional service delivery. This engaging and challenging position offers ample opportunities for personal and professional growth. With the ability to work independently or as part of a team, you will communicate effectively with stakeholders. Your positive attitude and strong attention to detail will contribute to the success of our operation.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Independently conduct field servicing and repairs on heavy diesel equipment and trucks.
- Perform diagnostics and troubleshoot equipment to identify and resolve issues effectively.
- Represent the company professionally and maintain strong client relationships.
- Communicate respectfully and honestly with customers, providing exceptional service.
- Adhere strictly to safety standards and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
- Maintain accurate records of service activities, including parts used and work performed.
- Collaborate with the team to share knowledge and provide technical support when needed.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, product knowledge, and technical advancements.

**Requirements**:

- Well-organised and self-motivated approach to work with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with customers and colleagues.
- Previous experience as a Field Service Technician or in a similar role within the automotive industry is preferred.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills on heavy diesel equipment and trucks.
- Commitment to strict adherence to safety standards and protocols.
- Ability to work efficiently and maintain productivity in various locations across Newcastle.
- Flexibility to handle changing priorities and work in a dynamic environment.
- Valid driver's license and the ability to travel as required.
- Trade qualifications in heavy diesel mechanics or a related field are highly desirable.
