Maternity Services Unit Manager
Permanent Part OR Full Time - 64 - 80 hours per fortnight

**Classification**: Midwife Unit Manager Level 2

**Award**: Nurses and Midwives (Victorian Public Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2020 - 2024
A fantastic opportunity exists for a leader to join the Maternity Services Team at Maryborough District Health Service as the Maternity Services Unit Manager. As the Unit Manager you will lead a dynamic team of midwives assisting them in delivering a new and exciting model of care. This role is responsible for providing customer-oriented clinical, operational and management leadership to all maternity services.

**We are looking for someone with the following qualities**:

- Registration as a midwife with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Minimum of three years' experience in midwifery nursing inclusive of delivery of all aspects of peri natal care.
- Three years leadership experience
- Works effectively and cooperatively with others; establishing and maintaining good working relationships

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA
Essential
- Registration as a midwife with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)

Technical/Professional Knowledge and skills
- Minimum of three years' experience in midwifery nursing inclusive of delivery of all aspects of peri natal care.
- Post graduate qualification or working towards same.
- Three years leadership experience
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge in departmental financial budgeting and the ability to utilize information technology to enhance practice
- Working knowledge of national standards, regulations and compliance requirements
- Demonstrated commitment to clinical excellence and patient experience
