We currently have an opportunity for a Strategic Planner (Contributions) to join the Planning & Economic Development department. As a Strategic Planner you will get to:

- To provide specialist statutory and strategic planning services and to develop Council’s strategic planning programs, projects, policies and standards in alignment with Council’s strategic direction and community needs.
- To develop, implement, monitor, and review Council's development contributions programs in accordance with the specific requirements of the NSW Environmental Planning and Assessment Act and current best practice.
- To be responsible for preparing, monitoring, and reviewing Council’s Section 7.11 / 7.12 Development Contribution Plans and Voluntary Planning Agreements to support the provision of Infrastructure to support community needs.
- Assist in providing strategic planning advice to Council and the community, consistent with legislative requirements and Council’s strategic priorities

**What we offer...**
- Permanent full time, 35 hours per week (A job share arrangement will be considered for this role - if applicable)
- Annual salary from $84,076.72 to $99,679.32 (salary is dependent on qualifications, skills and experience)
- Plus 11% superannuation
- Phone and laptop.

**What you'll need to be successful in the role...**
- Undergraduate degree in Town Planning equivalent Degree or extensive experience in a similar role.
- Experience in strategic land use environmental planning delivering diverse planning strategies and policies and environmental outcomes.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to collaborate and consult with a variety of stakeholders and to translate land use strategies into policy and plans
- Demonstrated project management skills and ability to work in a team environment.
- High level interpersonal, facilitation and negotiation skills as well as excellent written and oral communication skills.
