Due to growth, we’re seeking a Clinical Assurance Officer to join their team. Reporting to the Director of Assurance, you will form part of the Clinical Assurance team and support the clinical assurance program and auditing processes. You will work collaboratively across the organisation to ensure excellence in clinical care where service delivery is safe, effective, integrated high quality and continuously improving.

**The role**:

- Assess the adequacy, safety, efficiency and effectiveness of the delivery of care and its associated systems, controls, physical environment, policies and processes for clinical assurance.
- With a risk based approach, develop clinical assurance work plans and engage with stakeholders to plan and conduct the audit.
- Prepare comprehensive audit reports with detailed outcomes and recommendations.
- Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations with stakeholders and report on status.
- Prepare internal clinical assurance work plan progress reports.
- Assist with preparation and delivery of the organisational clinical assurance audit plan.
- Undertake clinical reviews in relation to incidents and investigations.
- Monitor and support plan for continuous improvement of services and assess the adequacy of action items to ensure they sufficiently address identified risk.
- Respond in a timely manner to all clinical assurance related queries.
- Promote effective safety, risk and compliance culture in line with organisational values and strategic priorities.
- Provide advice to improve the quality assurance process to support the leadership team in making informed decisions.
- Use data to support an evidence based approach to demonstrate quality clinical care and identify indicators for which further review/investigation is required.

**What we’re looking for**:

- Degree qualifications in Nursing, Health or related discipline.
- Current drivers licence
- A current Working with Children check (with clearance to work with children)
- A current NDIS check
- Experience in Aged Care, NDIS, Child Youth and Family (desirable)
- National Police Check
- Demonstrated experience in clinical audit function.
- Experience working across wide portfolios with multiple key stakeholders in a business partnering role.
- Ability to work in business partnering model yet maintain independence and objectivity from operational teams.
- Proven experience in continuous improvement projects / advice of.
- Experience working in a highly regulated industry.
- Awareness of industry regulatory bodies and proven experience working with them.
- Advanced level of report writing and record keeping.
- Previous experience with complete client management systems
- Investigation and Reporting skills
- Understanding of and commitment to all legislative requirements
- Demonstrated analytical, problem solving, planning and organisational skills, including the ability to prioritise multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to maintain a high level of confidentiality and ethical conduct in relation to sensitive information.
