**Dental Assistant**

**Location**: Glenmore Park Dental

**Days required : MONDAY, WEDNESDAY, THURSDAY 8:30am - 6pm**

Pay rate : $25 - $30 per hour casual rate depending on age and experience - In Accordance with the Health Professionals and Support Services award wage or above

**Experience : Previous experience in dental assisting preferred but not necessary**

Glenmore Park Dental is a family dental practice with a small team and an amazing patient base. We are looking for a friendly and enthusiastic dental assistant to join our team. Your role will include chairside assisting and instrument sterilisation, as well as patient communication and reception duties such as answering the phone and receiving payments.

We provide all aspects of dental care and our main focus is customer service and patient satisfaction.

**Skills and expectations required**
- No previous experience in dental assisting is required
- You must be friendly and approachable, have a great smile, and have excellent customer service skills
- Exceptional work ethic - punctual, reliable, and willing to learn
- Excellent communication skills.
- High level of personal hygiene and professional presentation.
- General computer skills such as typing and using Windows and Microsoft Word
- You must be empathetic and caring towards others. (our patients love coming here because we genuinely care for their wellbeing and comfort)
- Good attention to detail and ability to problem solve and think on the spot.
- Ability to work independently.
- **Must be able to provide evidence of previous vaccinations for Hepatitis B, Measles, Covid-19**:

- **Must be able to provide Police Check and Working With Children Check**

Supplemental pay types:

- Penalty rates

COVID-19 considerations:
All staff MUST wear a mask at all times and be able to present evidence of a negative COVID-19 test on a regular basis.
Staff should have had either one or two doses of any COVID-19 vaccine.
