**About the role**:
The APS6 ICT Communications and Governance Specialist will assist in the development and implementation of the ICT Communication strategies, Communication Plans and Governance Framework for the Agency. The role will assist in developing ICT policies, standards and procedures to protect the Agency’s assets and information

**Duties**
- Creating and executing effective communication plans to ensure consistent and clear messaging within the Agency and with external stakeholders
- Tracking and analysing communication metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of communication strategies and make improvements to processes.
- Assisting in the research, analysis, interpretation and creation of policy and procedure documentation
- Reviewing and documenting existing ICT practices and seek improvements to ICT processes
- Assisting in the development and maintenance of the ICT Governance Framework.

**Required experience/skills**
- Experience with Australian Government governance concepts with a focus on ICT, policy/standards development, documentation of frameworks and assisting in the reporting to Senior Executive
- Strong oral and written communication skills, able to mentor and provide expertise within a team environment and engage with internal/external stakeholders confidently.

**Desirable experience skills**
- Due to the core business of the Agency and the Centre, all staff must display a positive contemporary attitude to people with disability. As such, it is highly desirable that applicants have an understanding or lived experience of disability.
