Comtex is seeking an experienced Electronic Security Technician to join our team. The ideal applicant will have recent experience installing, programming and commissioning a wide range of CCTV, access control, alarm and intercom systems.

Comtex has a large and growing team of electrical, Comms, & security professionals operating in several industries & sectors, including Commercial, Government, Defence, Hazardous Facilities, Health, Transport - Rail & Motorways and Public Spaces.

This role requires working with a team and alone, performing service, installation and repair work for clients all over the Sydney area, with occasional opportunities for travel.

Note, this is not an IT/cyber security role.

Essential requirements;
- Certification in Integriti, Gallagher, Tecom or equivalent systems
- Certification in enterprise VMS such as Genetec, Milestone or Avigilon
- At least two years in a similar role
- Hold a valid driving licence
- Be an Australian Citizen (required to be eligible for security background checks)
- Hold a NSW Security licence or be eligible to obtain one
- Be well presented and an excellent communicator, as you will be representing the company
- Have working knowledge of electrical circuits and a basic understanding of IP networking

Desirable:

- Certification in Inner Range Concept and/or DOE school security unit proprietary systems
- Experience installing electronic locks (cutting door frames etc.)
- RIW/RISI cardholder
- Cabling licence and experience cabling
- Hold a White card and EWP/boom lift licence or be able to obtain

Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
