Our client is seeking to engage a Meter Reader on a contract.
**Contract Length**: 3 - 6 months
**Position Summary**:
To provide high standard water, gas and electricity utility field meter reading and associated customer service and billing activities in a safe, accurate, efficient and timely manner in accordance to strict work schedules, policies and procedures.
**Qualification Required**:

- Current “C Class” Drivers Licence for respective state / territory

**Experience Required**:

- Field Officer role requires a minimum of 6 months meter reading experience.

**Operational requirements**:

- Collect data accurately, including recording the meter reading, updating meter access information and reporting relevant field conditions via a handheld computer or any other means as directed;
- Carry and utilise metering equipment;
- When reading meters, walk long distances as required;
- Field Officers to drive for long periods;
- Travel within all areas of the contract region, when required;
- Effectively liaise with customers in a professional and courteous manner at all times;
- Always endeavour to access and read all meters and record accurate results to required levels;
- Maintain company vehicles and equipment to a professional standard;
- Disconnect meters for non-payment, debt and change of ownership, as and if required;
- Undertake client surveys and property inspections;
- Access residential properties, flats, industrial and commercial buildings for meter reading and service works;
- Complete allocated work within timelines according to schedule;
- Perform any other tasks, projects or duties, consistent with the position, which may be requested by the Contract Supervisor/Manager.
- Attend and participate in team/divisional activities, meetings, and day to day work activities demonstrating respect and consideration for individuals and their experiences and expertise;
- Communicate constructively with other team members, company employees, customers and clients;
- Actively work with and support other team members and/or company employees to achieve business goals;
- Must be contactable by phone whilst undertaking the role.
