**Principal Procurement Governance Officer - Local Government**

Our client is currently looking to expand their Financial and Project Services Team with the addition of a new Principal Procurement Governance Officer. This is a senior position that will be responsible for the development, of policy procedures, strategies and processes of our local government client.
- Hourly rate $55.12 - $58.55 (Negotiable Pending Experience)

- Monday to Friday Workweek - 8am to 5pm
- Strathpine Location
- Currently a 6-month contract - opportunity for extension

In this role, you will lead, develop and participate in the ongoing review and improvement of the MBRC procurement functions. These functions will include policies, procedures, frameworks, contract management, guidelines, processes, tools and templates.

**A Day in the Life**:

- Participate in the development of the Annual Strategic Procurement Plans as required by the _Local Government Act _and the _Local Government Regulation. _
- Aid and coordinate services to audit for procurement complaints.
- Lead both internal and external procurement communication.
- Write formal reports, business cases and other forms of complex correspondence to a high standard.
- Provide high level commercial analysis and specialist advice on procurement governance strategies and processes.
- Build and maintain high level relationships with key internal and external stakeholders and work within a collaborative team environment.

**What We’re Looking For**:

- Degree or Postgraduate Qualifications in Procurement, Law or a Business-Related Discipline is required.
- Extensive relevant experience is required.
- Extensive knowledge of and experience in providing specialist advice on best practice procurement governance strategies and processes.
