**About the opportunity**

We are currently seeking a hands-on handyperson to join our team at our **Moran Sylvania home**. You will be worked Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm.

You will work with a wonderful team of dedicated people and your contribution will make a difference to our residents’ enjoyment of their life every day.

You will be supported and mentored to ensure you thrive in your role with us.

**Key responsibilities**:
The Handyperson is responsible for routine maintenance activities inside and outside the home which covers equipment, building, fixtures and fittings and some gardens.
- Perform maintenance tasks according to a planned schedule of work.
- Maintain records using established systems and processes.
- Arrange equipment and building repairs with external suppliers.
- Receive deliveries and manage bulk storeroom.
- Maintain the grounds of the home.

**Skills/Requirements**:

- Previous general maintenance experience
- Ability to prioritise tasks and work semi-autonomously.
- Understanding of Workplace Health and Safety requirements
- Trade qualification desirable
- Basic Computer skills
- Knowledge of the aged care industry will be favourably considered.
- Current drivers’ licence, police check & valid working rights.
- Current Influenza vaccination
