**Local Trade Assistant - Newman Yard**

Downer is the leading provider of integrated services in Australia and New Zealand. Through trusted relationships and world leading insight we work closely with our customers to design, build and sustain assets, infrastructure, and facilities.

Downer have been contracted to supply General Maintenance services and Shutdowns across multiple sites including Inland/ Pilbara sites. We are seeking** A local to Newman Trade Assistant / Yardie** to join us on a causal basis to conduct ongoing works for us throughout our Yard in Newman

**ABOUT THE ROLE**:

- Local to Newman Western Australia
- Monday to Friday work with occasional weekends (depending on shutdowns / projects)
- On-going position
- Responsible for general maintenance yard activities
- Receiving orders, appropriate and effective storage
- Receive tooling containers after projects/shutdowns and replenishing tooling/repacking as required
- Loading/unloading containers and equipment onto truck/s and delivering/collecting from various sites surrounding Newman and Tom Price
- Assisting with plant and equipment upkeep

**ABOUT YOU**:

- Hard Working and reliable
- Adaptive and able to use initiative well
- Interest in gaining UEERL003 Conduct in-service safety testing of electrical cord connected equipment and cord assemblies
- HR Licence, Forklift - Essential.
- Telehandler Ticket, Adv Rigging - Highly desirable.
- Ability to gain access BHP, RTIO and occasionally FMG
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical.
