**About this part of our organisation**:
Our Zinc Assets in Australia include multiple & geographically dispersed operations, including underground and open pit mines, processing plants and port facilities. Globally we have operations across Asia, North and South American continents and Europe, meaning there is a world of opportunity before you. Due to our Queensland assets being based in Mount Isa and Townsville, and Brisbane being home to our corporate office, this role can be based in any of those locations.

**About your new position**:
Your primary purpose is being responsible for the planning, implementation, development and maintenance of Applications/Information Systems across Zinc Assets Australia within budget, timeframes and quality standards. You will also promote innovation and build digital capability within the organisation to meet the needs now and into the future.

Some of your responsibilities will be to:

- Lead and coordinate the Applications Development & Applications Support teams in the implementation, management and support of business requirements and service levels.
- Participate as part of the IS&T strategic leadership team (SLT) in the development of strategy.
- Assist your team of supervisors to implement short-term and medium-term modifications to business demand.
- Capture, coordinate and deliver business system requirements utilising the local resources, global resources and external resources as required.
- Continuously seek areas of improvements for business processes, workflows and uses of technology.
- Maintain positive working relationships with departments managers, senior managers and global IT Team.
- Maintain a register of business requests and status for weekly reporting and planning.
- Take full responsibility for financial budgeting, estimating and planning.
- Adopt best practice project management methodologies to deliver core IS&T projects.

Our expectations are you:

- Will have relevant tertiary qualifications in an Information Systems / Technology related field, or equivalent recognised experience.
- Have previous experience coordinating and developing teams.
- Exhibit capability with contract management, budgeting and program management.
- Have a collaborative nature combined with adeptness in interpersonal interactions.
