The National Anti-Corruption Commission

The National Anti-Corruption Commission enhances integrity in the Commonwealth public sector by deterring, detecting and preventing corrupt conduct involving Commonwealth public officials. It does this through education, monitoring, investigation, reporting and referral.

About this opportunity

The NACC is currently seeking to fill a Data Analyst position within the Operational Capability branch in Canberra.

About the role

Data roles at the NACC may support Operations, be corporately focused, or be a combination of both. Data analysts at the Commission may be called upon to:

- Assist investigators, intelligence analysts and forensic accountants to collect, manage and analyse operational data.
- Measure agency performance and provide management reports to Commission leadership to help manage workloads and support decision-making.
- Analyse and report on allegations of corruption, in order to identify trends and support triage and assessment of new matters.
- Engage with business areas to ensure that their processes are capturing quality data as seamlessly as possible, and that there is a common understanding of how data supports the objectives of the Commission.

**Key activities**
- Understanding the data and reporting needs of the Commission and helping to translate these requirements into data projects and products.
- Assisting with the collection, extraction, linkage, management, monitoring, analysis and reporting of relevant data.
- Contributing to the design and development of reports, data visualisations and dashboards.
- Exemplifying a healthy and safe working environment, modelling and promoting ethical behaviour and practices consistent with the APS Code of Conduct.

Eligibility
- **Citizenship** - applicants must be an Australian Citizen.
- **Security clearance **- this is a Designated Security Assessment Position. The occupant of this position will be required to undergo and maintain a security clearance to Negative Vetting 1.
- **Suitability assessment**:

- the NACC must be satisfied that successful applicants are of suitable character. They must undergo a rigorous pre-employment suitability screening process that can be intrusive in nature including (but is not limited to) detailed background, character, employment, police and financial checks.
