**Key Purpose of Role**:
The Production Supervisor responsibility is to manage and co-ordinate production workflow to the operational requirements. They will manage the production team efficiently and ensure a safe work environment delivering products meeting L+G’s quality standards. Whilst undertaking their responsibilities, the Production Supervisor will effectively consult with all relevant internal and external stakeholders and execute operations accordingly.
Areas of Responsibility:
**Production** **Control
- Coordinate Production workflow to achieve and execute against a production plan to deliver on customer requirements.
- Achieve scheduled production in the most efficient manner.
- Participate in the design of production processes and layouts.
- Maintain production environment in accordance with Lean principles.
- Ensure all processes are safe and work to achieve zero LTI.
- Undertake ongoing reviews to identify where existing resources and or equipment requires improvement to meet production objectives.
- Participate in the implementation of continuous improvement actions.
- Control production levels and transactions in accordance with company requirements.
- Achieve high levels of customer satisfaction through excellence in producing, identifying, and assuring quality of materials.
- Achieve targets for quality, environment, scheduled production and productivity in area of responsibility.
- Develop effective production data reports where required.
**People** **Practices
- Manage the workforce to produce efficiently and perform job rotation where possible.
- Ensure contingencies for coverage is implemented.
- Ensure all procedures are followed to meet quality and environmental standards.
- Drive team engagement and motivation.
- Maintain a safe working environment.
- Provide effective leadership through means of feedback, modelling positive and safety conscious behaviour and establishing clear expectations.

- Provided development opportunities through cross training to ensure all personnel are trained appropriately and identify where there are shortcomings in trained personnel.
- Train personnel in correct procedures, multi-skilling and job rotation, ensuring records are kept for all training;
- Support the management of the team in the areas of performance, development, induction and motivation;
- Liaise with other departments with respect to smooth flow of product; product problems and customer issues.
- Ensure appropriate planning and controls are implemented with work times, leave, and absenteeism.
- Undertake discipline and conflict resolution as required inline with policies and procedures.
- In consultation with the Production and Planning Coordinator, develop and monitor KPI’s ensuring that deviations are communicated and actions recommended are actioned.
**Management** **Systems
- Develop and document easy to read operations procedures that describe and quantify manufacturing processes.
- Ensure compliance with Quality, Environmental and Safety standards, and legislation.
- Ensure that processes and procedures are effectively implemented and actively support team leaders/charge hands in carrying out their responsibilities.

- Ensure team meetings and toolbox talks are conducted regularly.
- Monitor behaviours demonstrated and formally recognize positive input.
- Report on issues related to your area of responsibility, including safety, quality, security, maintenance and KPI’s.

- Manage Energy Better: Consciously drive for continuous improvement in reusing, recycling or reducing waste.
- Maintain awareness of identified and potential health and safety, quality and environmental aspects within the workplace and their impact, including the reporting of any accidents/incidents/near misses or hazards.
