Electronics Technician

Full-time, permanent position based in Hornsby

- Software / Firmware knowledge a plus

Are you a hands-on electronics enthusiast with a passion for unraveling the intricacies of electronic systems? Do you enjoy the challenges of power supply systems, electronic components, and circuitry?

I'm currently looking for an electronics technician to join an established company specialising in power supply systems based in Sydney.

This is a full-time, permanent position and requires you to be onsite.

The Role:
1) Power Supply Systems:

- In-depth knowledge of AC and DC power supply systems.
- The ability to troubleshoot and repair power supply issues, including voltage regulation, current limiting, and protection mechanisms.

2) Electronic Component Identification and Testing:

- Proficiency in identifying and testing various electronic components, including resistors, capacitors, diodes, transistors, and integrated circuits.
- Skilled in using multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other testing equipment to measure and analyse component behaviour.

3) Circuit Analysis and Design:

- Ability to read and interpret circuit diagrams and schematics.
- Skilled in analysing circuit behaviour and identifying faults or discrepancies.
- Knowledge of basic circuit design principles for modifications or improvements.

4) Soldering and Desoldering:

- Proficiency in soldering and desoldering techniques for both through-hole and surface mount components.
- Understanding of proper soldering temperatures, solder types, and soldering iron maintenance.

5) Repair and Maintenance:

- Skilled in repairing and replacing faulty components on electronic circuits and systems.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices to prolong the lifespan of electronic equipment.

6) Firmware and Software:

- Basic understanding of firmware and software interfaces in electronic systems.
- Ability to update firmware when necessary and troubleshoot firmware-related issues.
