Supplier Sustainability Specialist

The opportunity
- Make a meaningful contribution to QBE’s sustainability efforts
- Collaborate extensively with senior internal stakeholders and external partners
- Ongoing full-time role based on the East Coast (Syd, Mel or Bris)

Your new role

QBE Insurance is increasing its focus on sustainability and ESG, and as such is seeking a Supplier Sustainability Specialist to join the AUSPAC Procurement team and support with uplift and oversight of our supply chain. Responsible for executing strategies related to supplier diversity, environmental impact, Modern Slavery and other ESG/sustainability initiatives, your new role will involve:

- Driving the implementation of sustainable procurement strategies
- Ensuring compliance to legislation and internal policy
- Engaging and influencing stakeholders across the business to execute initiatives including those outlined in our Reconciliation Action Plan and annual Sustainability Report
- Collaborating with suppliers to manage partnerships and identify opportunities for improvement

About you

Ideally, you’ll demonstrate prior experience in managing supply chain sustainability initiatives from within a procurement role with added expertise in project management/delivery. You will have exceptional organisation, time management and prioritisation skills and can leverage these to ensure efficient and effective delivery of projects and initiatives. With an engaging interpersonal style, you’ll guide and influence your stakeholders (both internal and external) and can negotiate to achieve suitable outcomes aligned with strategic priorities.
