**The Role**
**The** **Activities and Experience Branch** is responsible for providing individual services for participants in Workforce Australia, such as Employability Skills Training, Career Transition Assistance, Work for the Dole, Work Experience programs. This service also includes job related advice and the overall user experience of Workforce Australia Online.
**The Activities and Activation team** has broad responsibility for managing how individuals interact with activities and support services under Workforce Australia. This includes driving the framework for activity management, eligibility, and mandatory activation requirements, which in total provides the overarching framework for connecting participants to supportive activities. The team is also responsible for the development of Online Learning Modules that coach job seeking skills.
**The Digital Services (DS) section** is responsible for the program management and oversight of Workforce Australia Online as a service. It has a particular focus on program performance and the operation of key program safeguards.
We are looking for team members who can successfully drive the work within the relevant teams by showing initiative, problem solving, informed decision-making and effective prioritising of work. The role is integral to the successful delivery of the work of the branch and requires people with the skills to support key stakeholder relationships, including with internal colleagues such as the state networks, IT, and also external stakeholders.
Operational duties at the **APS Level 6** for these positions include:
Provide high quality program management and operational policy advice.
Maintain key stakeholder relationships to effectively respond to their needs.
Providing high quality written advice, including executive briefings, program guideline materials, ministerial correspondence and responses to other formal queries.
Analyse program data to identify risks, opportunities and trends and develop conclusions based on evidence.
Lead risk management and program assurance activities.
Other program management duties as directed.

**The Opportunity**
This position is available to Ongoing Department of Employment and Workplace Relations and APS employees as a temporary transfer at level and a temporary performance (Acting) opportunity for a period of 3 months.
