**About the position**

Council’s Safer Communities Department is looking for a Animal Support Officer

The main responsibilities will include:

- Maintain Council’s animal registration database.
- Promote responsible pet ownership.
- Conduct campaigns to proactively identify unregistered animals.
- Collection of stray and wandering animals.

This is a full-time ongoing role working 38 hours per week.

**About you**
- Demonstrated administrative and customer service skills.
- Animal handling skills
- Relevant experience in Animal Registration/Management

This position is a band 5 currently remunerated at $78,589.24 per annum, plus superannuation. Effective 1 July 2024, the position will increase $80,750.44 per annum, plus superannuation. Overtime will also be paid as required.
