**The company**
Due to consistent growth, this well-known and trusted national distributor of wiring accessories, home automation and LV switchgear is seeking a Merchandising Representative, to manage existing relationships with Electrical Wholesalers across Melbourne.

**The position**
Dealing with Electrical Wholesalers, the aim of this role is to improve profitable market penetration of the Wholesale segment by providing sales and stockist support.

To achieve this, you will need to have merchandising experience, along with strong sales and customer service skills and the ability to work autonomously.

**Duties include**:

- Responsible for stock control within the Wholesale branches.
- Arranging stock in the Wholesale branches to attract maximum attention and visual appeal.
- Ensuring the Wholesaler is kept up to date on product releases and catalogues.
- Investigating with the Wholesaler why products are or aren’t selling.
- Participating in product promotions at the Wholesale branches.
- Promoting the profitable marketing of company products/services.
- Developing and maintaining strong customer relationships.

**Your key skills and competencies will include;**
- Experience as a Merchandising Representative or a similar role, is essential.
- Electrical experience is delivered but not essential. Could have experience in a similar trade.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent customer service skills.
- Top notch communication skills, both written and verbal.
