Operating multiple lithium mines and extraction facilities, home to some of the largest lithium reserves globally. Operations involve the exploration, extraction, processing, and distribution of these minerals. The company utilises advanced mining technologies and environmentally responsible practices to ensure efficient resource extraction and minimise the impact on the environment.

**Your new role**

The HSE Superintendent will report directly to the Exploration Manager and will play a crucial role in providing technical expertise, guidance, and mentoring to the client and Joint Venture (JV) partners for Health, Safety, and Training. There is a strong emphasis on minimising risks and ensuring the well-being of employees and equipment, you will ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, as well as align action with the company’s Vision, Values, and policies. The objective is to ensure safe and efficient operations while continuously improving the Health and Safety components of the company's HSE Management System. Duties will include but are not limited to;
- Assuming accountability for executing assigned tasks and projects safely, utilising and upholding the client's tools such as standard work, procedures, hazard analyses, inspections, and behavioural observations.
- Developing, revising, endorsing, and adhering to internal methodologies, policies, procedures and standards, ensuring a consistently high level of work quality across all assigned responsibilities
- Offer input and informed insights to management regarding potential areas for improvement and risks, contributing to the identification of opportunities to enhance processes and mitigate risk
- Facilitating and supporting site assurance and audit activities, which encompass the HSE Management Systems for both site and contractors
- Establishing and nurturing strong working relationships with key stakeholders is essential to ensure works are carried out in accordance with the operational requirements and objectives

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Tertiary qualifications within exploration and mining
- Certificate IV - Occupational Health & Safety
- Emergency Management (ERT) Qualifications
- ICAM Lead Investigator & OHS Lead Auditor
- Experience with safety/document management systems - Cintellate, Zyght, INX, security commander
- Proven experience in the same or similar position, with a practical understanding of the Work Safe Act, H&E regulatory environments, practices and general H&E systems and procedures
- Strong planning and organisation skills
