About the Role
The primary purpose of the Functional Consultant role is to design and configure Salesforce solutions to meet user, business and technology needs across the organisation. They play a key end-to-end role from helping shape functional requirements to solution design, hands on configuration, showcasing to stakeholders and supporting testing and rollout
Key Duties
Technical Requirements and Design
Support functional / non-functional requirements gathering, participating in stakeholder/team workshops to augment technical requirements and acceptance criteria.
Anticipate, understand, and link business needs with technology capabilities to initiate and design solutions to align with architectural principles while meeting measurable business, customer, and staff outcomes.
Ensure high quality, cost-optimal, simple, flexible and scalable design in line with best practice and with mínimal customisation.
Solution Development
Configure and develop solutions as per design, across the Salesforce platform and third-party products, to meet business requirements and outcomes.
Showcase solutions with stakeholders to capture and incorporate feedback.
Leverage CI/CD or automated testing tools across the development lifecycle to improve the pace and quality of development activities, including configuration management.
Work alongside and support platform leads in ensuring development and release activities and deliverables are delivered within agreed constraints of time, cost, quality, benefits and risk.
Ensure configured solutions align to standards and meet functional / non-functional requirements.
Document solutions and undertake knowledge transfer with a seamless transition to the platform support team
About You
You are passionate about delivering tangible customer, business and staff outcomes through Technology and will ideally bring the following:
Strong analytical skills and the ability to leverage data, insights, and feedback to elicit and prioritise technical requirements.
Strong fundamentals / technical ability in solution design and configuration on the Salesforce platform and products; including but not limited to Service Cloud, CPQ, and Conga.
Curiosity and learning agility.
Good communication and mediation skills, and the ability to liaise between technical and non-technical stakeholders with a consultative approach where there may be conflict.
Pragmatic and decisive in balancing conflicting priorities and trade-offs
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to finding technical solutions.
Alignment and commitment to Baptcare’s Mission, Vision and Values
5+ years’ overall experience on the Salesforce platform, with a focus on design and configuration of Salesforce solutions.
Strong technical understanding and platform knowledge of Salesforce and AppExchange products, such as Service Cloud, Conga, ECM, CPQ, Billing, Skedulo
Technical understanding of integration design, APIs, cloud infrastructure.
Experience working with Agile development methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) and associated tools (e.g., Jira, Trello).
Platform App Builder Certification
Salesforce Admin Certifications (Admin, Advanced Admin) Service Cloud Consultant, CPQ Specialist.
Experience on projects involving Salesforce integrations.
Working knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Gearset, Git
Knowledge of Aged Care, Disability or Community Services sectors
