**Your role**

The Commissioning and Planning Officer role manages contracts with human service providers in the Sydney, South Eastern Sydney and Northern Sydney District. The Commissioning and Planning Officer role also provides an opportunity for you to build relationships with partners across government and the community sector, to support the delivery of quality human services, and better outcomes for individuals, families and communities.

This role will facilitate engagement with Aboriginal networks and communities to improve the local supply of services, whilst building collaborative relationships with providers and developing avenues for contract management that directly contributes to better outcomes for individuals, families and communities.

The Commissioning and Planning Officer works within the Commissioning and Planning Team within an assigned portfolio. The work is dynamic, fast-paced, and requires a sophisticated range of skills and experience.

**About you**

To be successful in this role you will be a good negotiator and have demonstrated experience in relationship and community engagement. Innovative and client focused, you will strive for excellent service delivery and promote change in the sector. High level communication, decision making and project management skills are a must.

**What we’re looking for**
- Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline and/or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience with demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Have a valid Driver’s License and willingness to travel with in the district
- National Criminal History Record Check in accordance with the Disability Inclusion Act 2014
- Working with Children Check clearance in accordance with the Child Protection (Working with Children) Act 2012
