**About the role**

This role is either a Permanent Part-Time, or Full-Time role. You will be required to work on a rotational roster (including weekends) between the hours of 6am and 6pm at our Pittsworth location.

Reporting directly to the QC and Training Coordinator, your primary responsibilities will be to ensure the production of high quality eggs which meet industry standards and customer expectations. You will be a dynamic self-starter and be passionate about supporting a collaborative working environment, inline with our culture and values.

**Responsibilities will include but are not limited too**:

- Perform thorough inspections of eggs for quality, freshness, and adherence to safety standards. Identify and remove any defective or damaged eggs to maintain product integrity.
- Conduct regular sampling of eggs for quality checks and perform various tests to evaluate factors such as weight, size, colour, shell integrity, and internal quality.
- Calibrate and maintain quality control equipment and tools to ensure accurate measurements and reliable testing results.
- Maintain detailed records of inspection results, test data, and any deviations from standards. Generate reports summarising findings and communicate them to the relevant departments.
- Monitor adherence to regulatory and company quality standards, such as Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP). Take appropriate action to address any non-compliance issues.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency enhancement in egg packing operations. Collaborate with the production team to implement effective quality control measures.
- Provide training and guidance to production personnel on quality control procedures, proper handling techniques, and compliance requirements.
- Investigate and resolve quality-related issues, such as product defects, customer complaints, or deviations from specifications. Implement corrective actions and preventive measures to minimise future occurrences.
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment. Identify and report any potential hazards or safety concerns promptly.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, logistics, and management, to ensure a seamless flow of operations and consistent product quality.

**To be successful in this role, you will need the following skills and attributes**:

- Previous experience with production work in the food industry preferred;
- A technical and problem-solving attitude towards food manufacturing is desired;
- Experience with HACCP preferred
- Previous experience in a quality control or inspection role, preferably in the food industry.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
- Familiarity with quality control principles, processes, and tools.
- Knowledge of relevant food safety regulations and industry standards.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Basic computer proficiency for record keeping and report generation.
- Written and verbal communication skills;
- Strong work ethic;
- Ability to work within a team;
- Flexible in a shift work environment;
- Follow all safe work practices in line with company policies and procedures.
