**About the Role**:
Reporting to the Application Development Lead the primary responsibility of the Salesforce Technical Specialist role is to support and maintain the Salesforce platform working closely with our vendors and internal stakeholders. We want to learn about your experience in maintaining and thinking through ways to maximise available efficiencies in the platform, so our people can capitalise on the benefits Salesforce can offer. You will execute day-to-day configuration, support and maintenance of the platform.
The key ways you will make an impact is through:
**Architecture and Technical Delivery **- you can demonstrate your ability to develop Salesforce architecture plans and strategies as well as hands on technical delivery such as Salesforce configurations, integrations and deployments. You have worked with scrum teams to improve and enhance capability and can problem solve integration issues and incidents.
**Stakeholder Management** - you will have a broad range of internal and external stakeholders - you can build relationships and adapt your communication style to get the information and outcomes needed while working as part of a collaborative and service focused IT team. You value the expert technical advice and recommendations you can share and understand how to adapt to ensure you are being heard and understood.
**Process and Governance** - you understand the importance of ensuring standards are documented and align to the policies of our organisation. You adopt an approach that ensures others in the organisation understand our processes and can be guided and trained around their importance in relation to the maintenance and enhancements of Salesforce.
Ideally you will have worked in a similar Salesforce Technical position for at least 5 years, and can bring well developed analytical, problem solving and decision making skills. You will bring a service and solution focused mindset and enjoy working within a small team. In terms of technical knowledge we would like to hear about your:
- Familiarity with enhancing solution architecture, particularly in creating and maintaining artifacts such as level diagrams, Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERD), and solution design documents
- Proven experience in successfully developing integrations between Salesforce and external tools, leveraging REST, SOAP, APIs, and oAuth protocols.
- Strong proficiency in Salesforce development, including extensive knowledge of Salesforce platform features, Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Salesforce CLI.
- Demonstrated experience in implementing code quality practices, including code reviews, code style enforcement, secure code scanning, and compliance with industry standards.
- Demonstrated DevOps experience, including the utilization of tools to support CI/CD pipelines and Git strategy.
- Proficiency in Azure DevOps is preferred, although experience with other similar tools like Jenkins or Bitbucket can be considered
