**The Role**

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will be part of a high performing team responsible for the maintenance and repair of plant and equipment.

You will work in a high performing team responsible for the ongoing maintenance, performance, and safety, supporting PLC controlled systems, a variety of packaging plant and some of the latest servo-controlled Corrugated and Converting Machines.

**What you’ll do**:

- Work on a rotating roster, maintaining and helping to improve our efficiency and reliability.
- Manage preventive maintenance schedules, attend breakdowns, minimising downtime and implementing constant improvement initiatives.
- To play an active part in installation and overhaul of key equipment.
- Maintain safe work & operating practices; and maintain a high standard of housekeeping.
- Record maintenance activities with maintenance software program daily.
- Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with the requirements of all Visy policies, procedures, and legislation.

**Essential qualities we are looking for**:

- Basic oxy acetylene gas experience as a minimum together with mig/tig/stick welding skills.
- You’re analytical and keenly focused on process and continuous improvement.
- Mechanical trade qualifications, a valid forklift license and are computer literate.
- Experience working in a fast paced, high-volume environment while maintaining the required safety standards.
- Good communication and reporting skills.
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and a “get the job done” approach every day.
