We are a well-established private practice specialising in Gynaecological and Fertility medical services in Toowoomba providing a high quality of professional experience and compassionate patient care and are actively seeking an experienced medical receptionist to join our passionate, friendly team of energetic, self-motivated and service-orientated professionals.

This role will enjoy a work/life balance working Tuesday to Thursday approx 22.50hrs/week. Additional days/hours will be required on occasion to support other staff leave. There may be the opportunity of an ongoing permanent position after probationary period and dependent on the position of the business at that time.

**Essential Criteria**:

- Minimum of 3 years' medical reception practice experience (ideally private / specialist experience)
- Advanced experience with medical software (preferably Genie or Gentu)
- Highly proficient communication skills both verbal and written English

Possess a calm and professional demeanour when managing an array of sensitive situations

**Key duties will include (but are not limited to)**:

- Reception and administration duties
- Meeting and greeting patients in a professional and courteous manner
- Answering telephones, directing calls appropriately and attending to enquires
- Scheduling and confirmation of patient appointments, surgeries and consultations
- Ensuring medical records are managed confidentially and efficiently
- Patient invoicing and receipting of patient consultation payments
- Proficiency in drafting of quotes and payment management
- Experience with liaising with Medicare, health insurers, healthcare providers and governmental agencies
- Assisting Doctor’s, Managers, medical staff and all co-workers as required

- Ability to multitask in a busy environment and prioritise workloads in a timely manner
- Demonstrate excellent attention to detail with an interest in problem solving
- Maintain and consistently follow business processes to achieve efficient time productive outcomes

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 22.5 per week

**Salary**: $26.00 - $32.00 per hour
